AIP Protocol Consultancy for Touring Artists and Crew

If you are an artist or crew member who, because of auto-immune disease(s), needs to follow the AIP protocol diet, then it can be very difficult to have those dietary needs explained clearly to either the local catering or to the catering company accompanying you on tour.

Being on tour requires artists and crew to be in the best shape possible and this is often a challenge when dealing with auto-immune diseases.

So how can I help?

  • Set up an AIP action plan for the person(s) dealing with the auto-immune disease(s).

  • Add AIP protocol section to the rider tailored to the specific auto-immune disease of the artist or crew member.

  • Create AIP protocol recipes which the local catering crew could follow.

  • AIP protocol coaching for the catering crew.

  • AIP protocol on tour follow up. AIP protocol is an elimination diet.
So the recipes would be for either the elimination phase or including the ingredients that have successfully been reintroduced.
During the tour the AIP protocol could be adjusted according to needs of the artist or crew member.

My Experience

One of my previous lives, for 17 years,  I ran the artist catering for the Ancienne Belgique venue in Brussels, Belgium.
Then I ran the artist/athletes catering for the creation of The House of Dancing Water for the Franco Dragone group.
I have toured internationally and done residency recording studio catering as well.

AIP Protocol Consultancy for the Food Industry

For the hospitality business, constantly changing and trying to follow and adapt to the dietary needs of its customers, is no easy feat.
Offering an AIP option on your menu might make the difference.

Currently about one in ten people in the Western world has been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. This number is rising slowly but surely. The AIP protocol encompasses dietary and lifestyle changes.
Studies have shown how the AIP protocol can have a positive impact on the symptoms of auto-immune diseases and thereby vastly improving the lives of these patients. With this better quality of life, people who very often didn't have much of a social life because of their health, all of a sudden are feeling well enough to start socialising. They want to go out for a meal with friends but in the restaurant they are confronted with a menu that doesn't align with their dietary needs at all. And yes, unfortunately one meal like this can make a whole list of symptoms resurfacing again.

There is an added bonus to having an AIP protocol dish on your menu.
Just with this one dish you would be covered with dietary requests such as

  • gluten free

  • dairy free

  • grain free

  • nut and seed free

  • legumes free

  • nightshade free

  • egg free

So how can I help?

  • Analyse your menu and see if any of the dishes on it can be easily adapted for the AIP protocol.

  • Write out a detailed AIP protocol version for your chef and their brigade.

  • Create a signature AIP protocol dish based on the economic analysis of the menu. The recipe also be clearly written out for your kitchen team.

  • Collaborations with manufacturers.

Functional nutrition and AIP protocol coaching for autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses

Autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses can sometimes make you feel as if they have hijacked your life entirely. These diseases with their seemingly random flare-ups can make you feel very isolated, physically and emotionally drained and downhearted.

But!!

  • What if the flare-ups are not so random?

  • What if we channeled our inner Sherlock? And go sleuthing deep down into your medical history, past and current treatments, epigenetics, diet, lifestyle and mental wellbeing?

  • What if we discover multi-faceted connections, intricate reasons for the flare-ups?

  • What if hand in hand with these connections and reasons, come options and possibilities to lessen the flare-ups?
Just how much do you want to feel more energetic with less pain and less brain fog and other symptoms?

    So how can I help?

In-depth look at your medical history. You will fill out an extensive medical health history questionnaire and keep a food and mood journal. This food journal is, and I can’t stress this enough, not to judge your diet nor your food choices. A food journal is just very often a wonderful tool to discover a link between certain food and symptoms. With all this information you have provided I get to work and will research your diagnosis, and look for root causes.

AIP protocol action plan. We discuss your health goals, both short term and long term. With these goals and the results of the research I create a step-by-step AIP protocol action plan.

You are driving. You are in charge of the pace of implementing the AIP protocol. Some people want to dive in at the deep end, others start by getting their feet wet in the shallow end. We discuss what works for you and go from there.

  • Are you ready to be at the helm of your back-to-a-better-health expedition?

Functional nutrition coaching for post-cancer patients

Post-cancer functional nutrition coaching focuses on optimising health and trying preventing recurrence through a personalised diet and lifestyle approach that enhances recovery, supports the immune system, and addresses your specific nutritional needs as a cancer survivor.

This is your first step on the road from surviving to thriving.

So how can I help?

  • Research your medical history. We do a deep dive so we can map out both your health history and your current health. We discuss your short term and long term health goals. This includes a minimum of 4 hours researching your specific cancer and the treatment you received in depth.

  • Research your dietary and lifestyle history. Through this extensive approach we look for root causes and form a step-by-step plan. We assess on how you can shift your terrain in order to make your body less of an inviting breeding ground for cancer cells.

  • The post-cancer functional nutrition trifecta. To really create an environment that is more cancer cell-unfriendly you can’t just tackle one thing. The functional nutrition trifecta consists of looking at your diet, your lifestyle and epigenetic, plus your current social network. Your protocol will consist of dietary advice with an emphasis on restoring gut health, keeping blood sugar levels low and lowering lingering inflammation. As well as lifestyle advice focusing on sleep, mental wellbeing and movement.

Are you ready to thrive?
